Pre-Visit Knowledge
Welcome! My office is conveniently located in Denver, Colorado, between Cherry Creek and Washington Park. Free parking is available in the private lot directly outside the building, with additional street parking nearby. Parking is typically easy, so you shouldn’t have trouble finding a spot.
Please plan to arrive a few minutes early so you have time to get settled before your appointment. Therapy sessions are 50 minutes long and begin and end on time out of respect for all clients’ schedules. If you need to cancel or reschedule, I kindly ask for at least 48 hours’ notice to avoid a late cancellation fee.
Items to Bring
Prior to your first appointment, please complete all electronic intake paperwork through the client portal at least 24 hours before your session. This gives me time to review your information so we can spend our session focusing on you rather than paperwork. You do not need to bring anything to your appointment unless you’d like to reference notes you’ve made.
Initial Steps
Getting started is simple. After scheduling your first appointment, you’ll receive access to your secure client portal, where you can complete your intake paperwork and consent forms.
First Impressions
When you arrive, simply make yourself comfortable in the waiting area. At your scheduled appointment time, I’ll come greet you and invite you into my office. During our first session, we’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, explore your personal history, discuss your goals, and begin developing a treatment plan that feels tailored to your unique needs. My goal is to help you feel comfortable, heard, and supported from the very beginning.
It’s completely normal to feel nervous before your first session, and many clients tell me those feelings ease quickly once we begin talking. Therapy is a collaborative process- you don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin. My role is to provide a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can better understand yourself, develop practical coping tools, and create meaningful, lasting change. If you have any questions before your first session, don’t hesitate to reach out. I look forward to meeting you.
